Using an alarm is by far the most effective way to end a child's bedwetting. When you know why the alarm works and how to use it, your child will have the best chance of success. Stopping bedwetting helps build children’s self-esteem and reduce parents’ stress.
We used the alarm with our 5 year old. It took a few weeks before we started to notice results and then sometimes felt like he was going backwards. After about 5 weeks and no more then 3 consecutive dry nights at a time we decided we would have a break as our 3rd baby was about to arrive and we needed to move our toddler in with the 5YO. As soon as we took the alarm away he started being dry we have just gone 20 consecutive nights dry in undies. So although it may not have worked the same way it has with others I believe the alarm obviously helped enough to make our son click. Very happy parents here!!
We purchased the Dri Sleeper Excel for our nearly 5 year old son who simply didn’t/couldn’t wake during the night for toilet, despite being fully toilet trained since age 3 during the day.
The alarm exceeded all of our expectations. Within approximately 2 weeks of using it he started to wake at least once per night to go to the toilet before the alarm sounded. By around week 4 he was waking multiple times per night without the alarm sounding and getting up independently to go to the toilet himself. He has now progressed into undies at night and he is so proud of himself.
The alarm itself and the cord never bothered him during the night, I was a bit worried it would be uncomfortable and would tangle, but we never had any issues.
I highly recommend the Dri Sleeper excel, there is no negative feedback whatsoever from us.
Really happy to let you know this product has been 💯 % successful- its very easy to use and I wish I’d got onto it years ago.
My 9 year old son rarely had a dry night and is a very heavy sleeper. Having had numerous hospital appointments and seen a naturopath and tried an alarm from the hospital with the wires nothing seemed to be working. I did some of my own research online and saw the amazing reviews from the wireless DRI Sleeper, it gave me hope that it might be the solution. A couple of weeks into using it (tucked into his pull ups) we saw some improvement and it’s now been about 4 weeks of dry nights, a total miracle for us! Don’t hesitate trying it. An amazing product and just might be the solution for your son or daughter! Great company with lots of helpful advise.
This worked perfectly for my 6 year old. The initial practicing was crucial, and we started to see some consistent improvement after 2 weeks. Becoming completely dry took another couple of weeks to master, but we did it! Brilliant.
It took about 3 weeks of using the alarm but finally my boy is in underwear at night. He is such a heavy sleeper but the alarm has made him more aware. We have continued to use it as it’s really hard to wake him up. So relieved he is out of nappies finally. He is 6 and I think the longer you wait the harder it is. I should have bought this sooner.
It was a bit of a bumpy road but my son is dry at night! We've got one very happy, confident son! Dr Sleeper Bedwetting Alarms gets a big, "Yes!" from us!
We got an alarm for our boy who is a very deep sleeper, he hadn't really had any dry nights as couldn't tell when he needed to go during the night, the first couple of nights he slept through the alarm but we followed the guide and kept going and now he hasn't had a wet bed for over 3 weeks, we are all very happy!
We had tried a number of different things to assist my daughter to get her ever desired dry night. We can say that within 10 days she had a few dry nights and within the month we had over a week straight of dry nights. This kicked the motivation into gear and she would wake and instantly get a glass of water to get her system started in the morning. We are now alarm free and still dry every night for the past 6 weeks
My son was potty trained before age 5, and did so well. But after about a year of being dry all night, he reverted back and was wetting the bed almost every night! Sometimes more than once a night. My husband found the Dri sleeper alarm online and was interested in giving this a go, based on the reviews. Our son is a heavy sleeper, so trying to wake him up to go to the restroom was hard, most nights. Within the first 2 weeks, he was still having accidents, but the alarm was waking him up! By the 3rd week, he was being woken up with just a dribble and was getting to the bathroom to fully go potty! It's been over 2 months and he has been accident free for a month! He gets up on his own to go potty, before he has an accident. It has trained his brain to be more in tune with his bladder. I highly recommend!!
My 6 year old son needed pull-up nappies over night or he’d wet the bed.
He didn’t want to have a sleepover at school b/c he was embarrassed about wearing his pull-up.
Nothing worked till we bought the alarm. It was amazing!
We were on September holidays and bought the alarm to start. I slept (mum) with him.. 1st couple of nights the alarm would go off about twice a night- he would be a zombie and sleep through it- id wake him and take him to the toilet. He would go and finish in the toilet.
This was great as the alarm would wake him when he was just starting to wee-
his bladder was FULL and NEEDED to go.
All up- took couple weeks, he had nights where he slept through and not wet bed.
He was then able to do it on his own and has not wet the bed since...
we wished we bought it earlier.
Amazing And THANK-YOU👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We used the alarm for 2-weeks with our 6 year old and haven't had a wet bed since, which has been over 2 months now. Our daughter was a bit fussy about having the alarm in her nappy, suggesting she could feel the sensor. It was difficult to determine how much of this was from the psychological side though i.e. her knowing the device would wake her up at night. As a result, getting her to bed was slightly challenging during the 2-weeks. However, we encouraged her and she persevered and it's been a complete success.
We were unsure whether to take the leap initially as it felt as though the alarm was quite expensive but, based on the level of success, the subsequent cost savings and the close support offered by the company, it was clearly worth it.
In less than 2 months our son has gone from wetting almost every night to completely dry. He is a different child- Happy, confident and so proud of his achievement. The alarm plus the story book and all the parental tips are a wonderful combination to achieving success.
Our 7yo was potty trained by age 3 but was wetting at night. We used the DRI sleeper alarm for about 3 months and last night was no 14 of dry straight nights! This included one night when he actually got up and went to the toilet. It worked!
The first few weeks were a worry as he wouldn't wake up to the alarm (despite it waking up the neighbourhood!). The other concern I had was that the alarm was going off about three times a night so I thought there might be a bigger problem with his urine production i.e. he produces too much urine. Our GP quickly rubbished that theory lol! So we persevered.
My only bit of advice is to follow the instructions to the letter and be positive. There were a couple of times when he asked when is it going to stop :-( You need to be positive for your child and keep going.
I admit I was sceptical about the process (i.e. the alarm goes off AFTER he wets??) The process shows that the message does get through to them eventually to either wake up or to hold it in. It's awesome. Thank you Karen and team.
After so many years and visiting various doctors the bed alarm worked! Within 2 months our son stopped wetting the bed and now he feels more confident to have sleep-overs. Totally recommend it.
